Tuition Fees
School Year 2011 – 2012
I. PAYMENT SCHEDULE
Tuition and fees for current students are due and payable before the beginning of each semester. Tuition and fees for the First Semester starting August are due and payable around the first two weeks of June. Tuition and fees for the Second Semester starting January are due and payable around the first two weeks of November.
II. ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF PAYMENT
Parents are requested to make school fees payment by one of these forms of payment:
a) NEW STUDENTS
- DIRECT CASH DEPOSIT to one of these following bank accounts (deposit slip required for registration)

b) RETURNING STUDENTS
- DIRECT CASH DEPOSIT at any branch of Bangkok Bank, Thai Military Bank, Kasikorn Bank or Siam commercial Bank, with a banking slip provided by RIST enclosed with the invoice.
c) ADDITIONAL PAYMENT METHODS FOR NEW AND RETURNING STUDENTS
- CHECK, preferably CASHIER’s CHECK, payable to “Redeemer International School Thailand” (Purchased at banks in Bangkok and the Greater Bangkok)
- CHECK, preferably Bill of Exchange, payable to “Redeemer International School Thailand” (Purchased at banks upcountry)
- VISA or MASTER CARD (Bank charge 1.5%)
III. LATE PAYMENT
A late payment charge of 500 Baht per day will be imposed on late tuition payment.
IV. LATE ENROLLMENT
Tuition fees pro-rated for late enrollment according to the following schedule.

*** Remark: Pro-rates are only applicable to tuition fee. No other school fees will be pro-rated.
V. EARLY WITHDRAWAL
Tuition fees refunds will be granted in accordance with the following schedule:
- From the 1st school day to the 5th day of the semester 75 %
- From the 6th school day to the 10th day of the semester 50 %
- From the 11th school day to the 15th day of the semester 25 %
- From the 16th school day to the end of the semester No Refund
*** NB: No. of days are counted by school calendar days, not attendance day ! ***
VI. TEXTBOOK DEPOSIT
A one-time book deposit of 40,000 Baht is charged to each new student. Upon withdrawal or graduation, 20,000 Baht will be refunded after all due charges for loss or damage books are paid. Refund of Textbook Deposit is available upon completion of the withdrawal process for up to three months following the beginning of the next semester. If not claimed within that period it will be forfeited.
VII. CAMPUS DEVELOPMENT FUND
This one-time payment of 250,000 Baht at registration is refundable upon student withdrawal or graduation. The document provided upon payment of the fund is required as evidence for refund. Refund of the Campus Development Fund will be automatically refunded upon completion of the withdrawal process.
VIII. NON-RETURN or NON-APPEARANCE
Returning students who do not appear at school in the first month of the semester, August 2010 or January 2011, without prior notice in writing in advance to the School Director automatically forfeit their status at RIST and shall be treated as new students upon return to the school.
New students who have enrolled and paid all school fees will receive full refund for all school fees, except for the Registration Fee, if withdrawal is informed before the semester commences. Early Withdrawal policy (V.) is applicable to new students who withdraw after the semester commences.
IX. LEAVE of ABSENCE
Parents of students who need to take a leave of absence are required to fill out and submit the ‘Leave of Absence Form’ available from the registrar office before the last day of school in each
semester. The acknowledgement and approval of this form will reserve the student status for one school year.
Please contact RIST Admissions Office (ext. 241) by May 1st to confirm your child’s planned return.
Students may be granted a leave of absence of no longer than one school year upon approval by the School Director with the following conditions:
- Text book and campus development fund fee deposits will be held in escrow while RIST students are on approved leave of absence. Students on approved leave of absence desiring to re-enroll must inform RIST at least one month prior to the semester of re-enrollment. Students deciding to withdraw after one year leave of absence must inform RIST of their withdrawal intentions no later than one month prior to the new school year to obtain a full refund of textbook and campus development fees.
- Prior to the student commencing leave of absence, a fee of 20,000 Baht shall be paid to reserve a place for the student upon return to RIST.
- Students returning within one year will receive credit of 20,000 Baht towards their tuition fee
- Students who do not return after one year will not receive any refund
- Students who decide withdraw from school during the leave of absence period will receive 10,000 Baht refund
X. RECEIPT of PAYMENTS
Receipts will be issued with specified description of fees and based on actual amount paid ONLY.
XI. Overdue Tuition Payment
Where fees are not paid by the due date, school reserves the right to proceed as follow:
- Withhold all school documents.
- Discontinue enrollment of the following academic year.
- Suspend from testing and all previous scores will be withheld.
- Take legal action in the collection of outstanding tuition fees.
