| RIST PTA Constitution |
Preamble |
We, the parents and guardians of students in Redeemer
International School Thailand (RIST), located in Bangkok,
Thailand, in order to promote cooperation and understanding
between the parents, administrators, teachers, and staff
to help the school attain its goals, and to propagate
its philosophies for the benefit of the students, do
hereby form ourselves into an auxiliary and adopt this
constitution. |

Article 1 NAME |
This association shall be known as the RIST Parent
Teacher Auxiliary |

Article 2 MEMBERSHIP |
Membership of the Auxiliary shall consist of all parents
and/or guardians of all students enrolled at Redeemer
International School Thailand . |
| |
Section 1: |
| Since the Parent Teacher Auxiliary is an advisory rather
than law-making body, its rule-making power is limited.
The Parent Teacher Auxiliary has the power to make rules
concerning its internal administration. It also has the
power to make rules governing membership provided the Parent
Teacher Auxiliary does not violate the regulations of the
school. |

| Section 2: |
The Parent Teacher Auxiliary may not intervene in
administrative or academic discipline by the school administration.
The Parent Teacher Auxiliary may not contradict official
school policy, however recommendations regarding these
matters may be given to the school administration for
consideration. |

| Section 3: |
The Executive Committee of the Parent Teacher Auxiliary
shall consist of four executive officers, i.e., the President,
Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary, each chosen
by general election of the entire parent body. Each Executive
Officer shall serve a term of one year beginning in September
of each year. |

| Section 4: |
The duty of the President of the Parent Teacher Auxiliary
is to appoint individuals and committees within the Parent
Teacher Auxiliary, to investigate ideas and carry out
Parent Teacher Auxiliary projects. |

| Section 5: |
The duty of the Vice-President of the Parent Teacher
Auxiliary is to act as assistant to the president and
to act as a personal representative when the President
is not available. The Vice-President may be appointed
by the President for other duties. If for any reason
the president resigns, or becomes unable to perform his/her
duties, the Vice-President becomes President for the
remainder of the term of office. |
